Liberty & LEED
Liberty has been an active participant in the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) program for many years. The U.S. Green Building Council is a building industry nonprofit that promotes sustainable development and developed the LEED rating system that has become the national standard for environmentally responsible design and construction. Today, Liberty has almost 8 million square feet of LEED registered green space completed or under construction nationwide.
Liberty currently has 35 LEED projects completed or under construction nationwide, more than any other commercial developer in the U.S. The U.S. Green Building Council awarded Liberty its 2006 LEED Corporate Leadership Award for exceptional vision, leadership and commitment to the evolution of green building, the only commercial developer so honored.
